This series of posters was created for the Netflix original
films Fear Street Part One: 1994, Fear Street Part
Two: 1978, and Fear Street Part Three: 1666.
The films follow the creation of a curse, the attempted
breaking of the curse, and the events that occur when
the curse is in effect. The films utilize a main cast of
characters whose actors are reused throughout the
different time periods of each film.
Inspiration
For the posters, I wanted to emphasize the movie’s place with the slasher genre, so I chose to replicate the most important death scenes within each film. The colors within the posters were chosen directly from the color palates used in each film, since each film has different color grading based on the time period. I kept the forms abstract in order not to spoil who dies within the movies. The surrounding text is taken directly from the dialogue within the films, or things seen within it.
